How to measure your ring size accurately

  1. Avoid measuring when fingers are cold (cold fingers shrink).

  2. Don’t measure right after exercise or heat exposure as these can cause temporary swelling.

  3. Use a proper ring sizer whenever possible. You can visit a jewellery shop or order a cheap ring sizer online (a plastic belt-style sizer works just fine).

  4. If using a string or paper strip to measure the circumference (EU size), make sure not to stretch the material or compress the finger.

  5. Account for knuckle size and choose a size that allows the ring to slide over it.

  6. A properly fitting ring should slide on easily and come off with slight resistance over the knuckle.

  7. Measure the finger on the correct hand (the dominant hand tends to have slightly larger fingers).
